Meet Malé (pronounced Malay)

Malé was born in Málaga, Spain.  Her mother was a stray that would come into our rent-a-car facility by the airport every once in awhile.  On the morning of September 10, 2001, one day before 9/11, we found the stray cat in the trunk of a totaled car with 5 newborn kittens.  We let the mother raise the kittens at the facility and when they were big enough, we tried to find homes for them.  I took one and named her Malé, short for "maletero", which means "trunk" in Spanish.  When I moved back to the US in November of 2003, I brought Malé with me.  She's a happy Oakstead resident and I think she sleeps about 23 hours a day.  What a life!
